Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship 2025-26 for Pakistani Students

Deadline Extended: The HEC scholarship portal deadline is 20 January 2025, while the Hungarian portal closes on 15 January 2025.

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan, in collaboration with the Hungarian Government, invites applications for the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme 2025-26. This fully funded program offers opportunities for Bachelor’s, One-Tier Master’s, Master’s, and PhD studies in Hungary.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

• Must be a Pakistani or AJ&K national.
• Applicants awaiting results may apply, but must provide final transcripts before 1 August 2025.
• Undergraduate: HSSC/Intermediate completed before August 2025.
• Master’s: 16 years education (Bachelor’s/equivalent) completed before August 2025.
• PhD: MS/MPhil/Master’s completed before August 2025.
• Applicants must score at least 50% in HAT/USAT (HEC tests).
• IELTS/TOEFL or English proficiency certificate may be required by some Hungarian universities.
• Applicants must submit a medical certificate (valid after 1 November 2024).
• A bond with HEC must be signed to return and serve Pakistan after completion.

📌 Ineligibility

• Dual nationality holders.
• Applicants born after 31 August 2007 (must be 18 years old by Aug 2025).
• Misrepresentation of information will result in disqualification.

💰 Financial Coverage

The Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship 2025 provides:

• Full tuition fee waiver.
• Monthly stipend for living expenses.
• Contribution towards accommodation.
• Health insurance coverage.

Note: Living allowance is a contribution, not full coverage. Students should plan additional funds for living in Hungary.

Applicants must submit two online applications:

1. Hungarian Portal: stipendiumhungaricum.hu/apply
2. HEC Portal: scholarship.hec.gov.pk

Deadline: 15 January 2025 (Hungarian Portal) & 20 January 2025 (HEC Portal)

📄 Required Documents

• HEC & Hungarian online application forms (completed in English).
• Recent passport-size photograph.
• Motivation letter (at least 1 page).
• Language proficiency proof (IELTS/TOEFL or English certificate).
• Attested transcripts and certificates (IBCC/HEC where applicable).
• Medical certificate (latest format from TPF portal).
• Copy of passport.
• HAT/USAT valid score (minimum 50%).

⚠️ Important Notes

• Accreditation for professional degrees (Medicine, Engineering, Law, etc.) must be verified with PMDC, PEC, PBC, PNC and other relevant councils.
• PEC currently recognizes engineering programs from University of Debrecen and BME.
